What if I want to change the menu for a theme party?
Our entrees are tied to the theme but we are happy to make substitutions based on your preferences.
Our parties include all the food and equipment to prepare the recipes, a wonderful chef facilitator, colorful disposable aprons for all participants, festive table covers, plates, cups and serveware, birthday candles, and a great time! The Super Healthy BIRTHDAY Chef also gets a list of the recipes to take home.
Most of our parties include an entrée, dessert item to either decorate or partially cook and a beverage. Our baking parties are a bit different in that they are all dessert based and include the option of having a team competition at the end. We try to allow our Super Healthy Chefs to do as much as possible when it comes to preparing the recipes within our allotted time.
What is the Cost ?
IN HOME PARTY: We bring the party to YOU! We provide all necessary equipment & food needed for the party, the only thing we may use depending on your menu choice, would be your sink and your stove or oven should it be required. We talk to you before the party about accommodations and work together to determine how to best execute the party in your space. Our staff will leave your home as clean as they found it.
SUPER PARTY: $505 2 hour party – Up to 12 Super Healthy Chefs $40 per additional Chef
SUPERDUPER PARTY: $848 2 hour party – Up to 22 Super Healthy Chefs $40 per additional Chef
EXTRAVAGANZA UPGRADE: Make it a three hour event for an additional $159 and we will add an additional recipe to the menu.
These prices rarely vary in cost unless special requests are made outside of what normally is included.
Gratuity: 10% Gratuity, for chef facilitator(s), is added to base party price at time of payment.
Add On: ON LOCATION PARTY: We will host your party at our space in Woodside CA: Includes commercial kitchen, themed decorations (unicorn, mermaids, hello kitty, pirates) and accommodates up to 30 Super Healthy Chefs.
Fee: Additional $300
Add On: Gift bags with cool kitchen tool. $11 per child
Add On: Birthday hats and decorations. $22
How long are the parties?
Our parties usually last approximately 1-5 – 2 hours on average. If your party is hosted at your home, our staff will arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to event start time to allow for set up.
What about food allergies?
We do our best to accommodate all dietary restrictions, whether it be allergy related or for religious or personal choices. Should you have a need for special dietary accommodations, please let our staff know at the time of booking so this request can be accommodated.
What about birthday cake?
We do not provide a cake, only the dessert that is included in your package. If you would like to use the dessert item made to sing Happy Birthday, you are more than welcome do so. You are also welcome to bring your own cake if you prefer. We will have birthday candles on hand either way. 🙂
What about decorations?
Decorations for parties are not included in the flat rate although the space will look festive with the colorful disposable table covers and serveware we provide. We can provide extra décor at an additional fee if the request is made at the time of booking.
What if the birthday party guests are not experienced in the kitchen?
No problem, recipes are easy and fun. Before the beginning of each party, our chefs will go over kitchen safety, cleanliness, and staying organized while cooking. During the party everyone will be participating in chopping, mixing, assembling and decorating the food. After preparing the recipes the chefs eat what they cook. It’s a great way to introduce kids to the world of food preparation.
Who Can Attend?
We offer cooking classes for children ages 4 to 14.
Regardless of their age, they’ll have fun, try new stuff and learn about “real” foods!
What if the kids are different ages?
We know that sometimes our party host may have a younger or older sibling that would like to participate. Most of the time this is not an issue, however, should our staff feel the child is of an inappropriate age for the event that is happening, we do reserve the right to ask the child not participate for safety reasons or, alternately, they may require the supervision of an adult escort to participate.
How does the booking process work?
It is best to book the birthday as far in advance as possible to secure the date, but certainly one month prior to the party. We take all necessary information about your event and a credit card to hold it. Once we have this we will email you our “Terms & Conditions and Release of Liability”, this must be signed and returned to us no later than 7 days prior to your event. Your chef facilitator will contact you directly to work out logistics regarding your party location and any other necessary details. Full payment is required at the time of booking. There is a non- refundable 150 booking fee. You have 30 days from date of the party to cancel for a full refund, less the $150 non refundable booking fee. Canceling thereafter, no refund.
What about food for the parents?
Please feel free to bring your own extra snacks and appetizers for the parents, we do not provide paper products for these items.
What if some of the kids don’t show up to the party?
We try to give you as much time as possible to confirm how many guests will be attending. One of our staff members will call you 48 hours prior to your event to confirm your final head count. The number we are given at that time is the number of students you will be responsible for paying for.
